UAE from oil production to renewable energy

There is no doubt that the United Arab Emirates’ always striving to achieve the best in all fields is clear to everyone. Although the United Arab Emirates is an oil-producing country, it has been able to achieve environmental balance and become a pioneering country in the field of clean energy, through the giant projects it has established. The country will be established as part of the future plan to make the United Arab Emirates a leading country in all fields.

The peaceful nuclear project of the United Arab Emirates:

The United Arab Emirates is committed to the non-proliferation and nuclear weapons agreements and its nuclear program is committed to producing clean and renewable energy through the Al Barakah Peaceful Nuclear Energy Plant, which includes four advanced energy reactors and which provides 25% of the country’s electricity needs.

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park:

The station is located south of Dubai, 50 km away, the project was implemented in five phases, all of which took about 8 years, a period considered record-breaking for the size of the huge project, which is considered one of the largest in the world in the field of renewable energy, in addition to producing huge amounts of energy, the project contributes to reducing carbon emissions to a large extent, with future plans to develop the project further and increase the volume of renewable energy produced, thus reducing carbon emissions much more.

Shams (Sun in Arabic) Solar Power Plant:

The station belongs to the city of Abu Dhabi and is located 120 km southwest of Abu Dhabi, the station supplies tens of thousands of homes in the emirate with clean electrical energy, which thus contributes to a cleaner environment due to the reduction in carbon dioxide gas.

Al Dhafra Solar PV:

The station contains four million bifacial solar panels. The station produces huge amounts of renewable energy and, as a result, it contributes to preserving the environment by significantly reducing carbon emissions. It also achieved a tariff price that is one of the lowest in the world.

Renewable energy stations in the United Arab Emirates are not limited to only three or four stations, but rather dozens that are ready for operation or in the preparation stage, in order to keep pace with the plan of the United Arab Emirates to achieve a clean environment, such as, CSP project, Shams Dubai, Masdar City, Warner Bros. and many others.

The ambitions of the United Arab Emirates did not stop at its borders, but rather it established a strategic partnership worth $100 billion to build projects in the field of renewable energy around the world.

Transforming a country that possesses huge amounts of oil and gas into a country that relies on renewable energy and seeks to preserve the environment with a lower carbon emission rate was impossible before the United Arab Emirates did this, but the results and change have become clear through the projects on the ground in the UAE.

The future plan of the United Arab Emirates is to export solar energy, and even to be one of its largest exporters in the future. This is done through research carried out to find the best practical ways to export renewable energy to the countries that need it, so that the UAE transforms from the largest oil producer into the largest renewable energy producer.
